Without Permission

William Shakespeare never published any of his plays. Instead, many of them were printed without his permission, including a defective copy of “Romeo and Juliet.” John Danter, known for illegally producing other writers’ work, cobbled together this 1597 edition of the famous romance from shorthand notes, taken during a performance.
