Lithiated Lemon-Lime

A unique, new, lemon-lime-flavored beverage was introduced in 1929 and marketed by the Howdy Corporation as Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda. Soon after its introduction, however, C.L. Grigg, company owner and creator of the “refreshing and thirst-quenching” soft drink, changed the name to the more-palatable and recognizable 7UP.
